Have a complete escape staying in the beautiful Kilcannon House Bed And Breakfast nestled in the wonderful West Waterford countryside. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings with panoramic views. Gertie and Pat Ormond, who are former owners of Ormond's Restaurant in Dungarvan, take great pride in welcoming people into their home.

Enjoy the experience of country living in Kilcannon House. It is a lovely old farm house in a stable yard setting, surrounded by eleven acres with horses grazing and hens foraging. Walk in our restful garden and coblestone yard overlooked by the beautiful Knockmealdown Mountains. In the morning why not join Gertie in the kitchen for some early morning baking of soda bread & scones. Gertie is a former student of Darina Allen, Jane Grigson, Anthony Worrall Thompson, John Tovey and Madhur Jaffrey.

In the main house we have king size or twin bedded en-suites, all beds have crisp white cotton sheets. Dinner or Barbeque by request before 12 noon. Tea / Coffee making facilities.

Close to Kilcannon House is the well known Rally Driving School RallyConnection. While you are enjoying the thrills and spills of rally driving your other half might enjoy a cooking lesson in Kilcannon House with your host (and experienced cook) Gertie Ormond.

If you are interested in cycling we have 2 complimentary bikes available for guests. Interesting places to cycle to nearby include the Copper Coast, the Vee, Lismore and Villierstown.

On a fine day we would be happy to do up a picnic lunch for you that could be enjoyed in the many beautiful locations scattered around Modeligo parish, these include Lismore Castle, The Towers, Mount Melleray and the Blackwater River.
